Halal Jawn is a free guide to halal food in the Philadelphia area. We keep data to the minimum the site needs to work.

What stays on your device

• Your Yums (votes) and the tags you pick.
• The ZIP code or map pin you set, so nearby places come first next time.

These live in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you send them to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we receive

We only receive what you choose to send through a form: a place suggestion, a halal check, a problem report, a comment, or a message from a restaurant. That can include whatever you type, such as your name and a phone number or email if you add one. We use it only to review the listing or reply to you, and we delete it when it is no longer needed.

What we never do

• No ads, no tracking pixels, and no cookies of any kind.
• We never sell or share your information.
• We never ask for passwords, payment details or ID.

Other services

Fonts and the map are hosted on our own site. When you tap Directions, Google Maps opens and its own privacy policy applies. Tapping Call opens your phone app. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security, for a short time.

Visitor counts

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not build a profile of you. It only gives us totals.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
